The Superstition Mountains in Apache Junction, AZ (just outside of Phoenix) have captured the imagination of both native peoples and settlers to the area.  There are rumors of gold...

Barn at Sunrise-Summer
24" x 30"

The sunrise paints this barn amazing colors.  In the summer it shines gold.  I see this barn every morning when I go to feed my horse.  When I stand next to the barn at dawn, I feel a sense of peace and quiet.

Eucalyptus Trunks

16" x 20"

These young trees grow at the end of my street.  I love the colors of the new leaves in the spring.

Barn at Sunrise-Winter

16" x 20"

The trees cast amazing shadows on this vacant barn.  I witness different light patterns early each morning.  The patterns and colors change by the season and the angle of the sun.  This barn is on the property next to where I board my horse.

Barn at Sunrise-Spring

The sunrise filters through the trees onto this old barn.  The patterns and colors change with the season.  My own private showing every morning when I arrive to take care of my horse.

Clouds Over Chino's Farm

12" x 16"

A view of the clouds over the outbuildings at Chino's farm.  I loved the vibrant colors of the wild grasses and the stormy clouds.

Rambla de las Flores

9" x 12"

I pass this hillside every day on my way to feed my horse.  After all the rains we had this spring, the hillside was vibrant with color.  We rarely see these greens in Southern California.

Hillside La Noria

12" x 16"

Another hillside that enters my gaze as I drive to care for my horse.  The hillside was almost glowing this morning with growth and renewal.
